I read this article on Yahoo today about a gas station in Wisconsin… The employee had accidentally priced the gas at 32.9 cents instead of $3.29. It was correct on the sign, so only the pumps themselves registered the incorrect price. Word spread quickly and the closed gas station attracted quite a crowd. The police saw the crowded station of people paying with their credit cards, and filling up reserve containers. They called the manager of the store, who came and hit an emergency button to stop all of the pumps. She said she was “upset that there were so many dishonest people. They knew there was a problem, and they took advantage of an employee’s mistake and I think that’s terrible.”
You know what I have to say to that? You are full of horse shit lady!!! Puhlease. Don’t act so high and mighty. So if you go down to the Walmart and some clerk misplaced a decimal point on that widescreen TV you’ve been wanting, you’re telling me that you wouldn’t demand to get the TV for the advertised price? It is the same principle. Everyone has lucked up on a sale like that at a Walmart or a department store. I recently read about a woman who went to Sears and picked up one Britax convertible carseat and one [Britax] booster for the grand total of $45!! Why? Because the store employee misinformed her over the phone of the prices (It should have been $150-180 total). And the store manager obliged by giving her the quoted price. Because that is what stores do. I’d be willing to put three hundred twenty nine dollars on the fact that this store manager would have been right there in line at the pumps if it wasn’t her station losing the money. And so would I. I’m not ashamed. Hell yeah, I would have lined up for that $0.32 gas like people line up at Best Buy on Black Friday.

I wouldn’t have done it… Not because I have moral issues or anything but because I couldn’t be arsed to wait in such a long long! I’m not the kind of person who has the patience for things like Black Friday!! Now, if there was no line….
