toy review: mini aquadoodle

We recently spent a lot of time in the car. About 36 hours to be exact. Thankfully it was spread over a few weeks. Each leg of our trips was about six hours. I went to Walmart looking for toys to help pass the time. We have a little magnadoodle, but it is encased in hard plastic, thus not the best selection for the car. I found a few sticker books, got a couple of Hot Wheels, because no matter how many he has, he still loves a new one. I also found a little aquadoodle book with Thomas the Train pictures.

I think the price is a little steep, at $9.97, but it has been worth it. All you have to do is fill the little pen up with water, and the color magically appears, then fades back to white when it dries. And if your little darling decides to color on something other than his book, it is just water. Can’t beat that in my book!

It remains a pretty big hit now that we’re done being in the car for a while. And I like playing too! For those of you that have marker jammers…you know what I’m talking about…repeatedly smashing the marker tip into a hard surface…they have 2 packs of extra ‘markers’ for $1.97 I think. This would probably work for those kids that need to have multiple colors (ie more than one marker)

My kids are huge magnadoodle fans. I’ll have to check this out!

We LOVED our aquadoodle…until the REAL marker found it’s way to the mat. RIP Aquadoodle! I love the “Tommy the Train” mini one though! GREAT idea!! We are traveling to the fair on Sunday so I might have to use that idea!!
