Yesterday we raked leaves at my mother inlaw’s and sister inlaw’s house. We had to go back to finish this morning. And play, of course!
I learned…
- I will never make fun of people wearing leaf blower backpacks again
- People who do yard work for a living are underpaid.
- Nobody told me how heavy a leaf blower is
- Or that I wouldn’t be able to feel my fingers after twenty minutes of use.
- Raking a yard could be a full eight hour work day.
- For two people
- Regular oak leaves add up a LOT quicker than pin oak leaves.
- A section of their road is now one way.
- We are a cheap date, it doesn’t take much to entertain us.
- People who do this for a living probably don’t do this when the job is complete:

I’m sitting here with a big smile on my face. GREAT photos and I loved the last video. Such fun! I hope your blisters aren’t too bad!

Oh my gosh, that is a ridiculous amount of leaves to rake! The videos were really cute!

Crappers! I’m at work and the videos are blocked. Can’t wait to go home and see them. I remember not being able to go to your house to play until we got all the leaves up. And that house on Salem Rd. had a LOT of trees! That’s probably one of the FEW perks of living in an apartment – I have my own yard crew !

That was great! Love the last video!
So what happens to the leaves now? Does someone pick them up from the street?
We are lucky, we have one tree….and it’s leaves are tiny!
