the wrong kind of retro

Our oven just crapped out. It stunk like something was melting earlier today and Scott just made some muffins, it died mid cook cycle. The lady we rent from is very elderly (and most certainly already in bed at 8pm - she lives next door), so Scott called her daughter, who lives three doors down. He was explaining the situation, telling her that two out of the four eyes (burners, whatever…I had someone look at me like I was nuts when I called them eyes one time) work on a good day, and one of those two has two temperatures: off or glowing red wide open. She asked how old it was and Scott said, “I believe Noah brought it over on the ark.” He went on to tell her that it has a bread warming oven on the side. “A bread warming oven?” she asked. I’m not sure if she even knew what that meant. It is wider than traditional ovens by about a time and a half. The extra half being the bread warming area. Not sure whether it functions either, but Caleb thinks it makes a nice toy storage area. I have found Hot Wheels in there from time to time (it never gets warm in there to my knowledge). She asked what color the oven is. Snot green. I’m hoping we get a new oven out of it! I know beggers can’t be choosy but I would really like a flat cook top. I mean, I was just sayin….
