march update on the britax frontier

I have a lot of incoming links from a message board that I cannot view, as I am not a member. So here’s the latest Frontier information. Once again, this is all subject to change, the updated release date as of right now is May 2008. Britax tends to be a bit conservative with their measurements of top harness slots, so we are hoping that people measuring it themselves will get a little bit higher than the projected 18.25. There have already been numerous complaints about the price (projected to be $279), especially with the Nautilus out (made by Graco, it will be the Frontier’s most similar competitor). I do love the colors, they have a more European/sporty look. I especially like the red on black. No surprise Britax includes a girly color, as they tend to overly cater to girl patterns. Notice how much it does resemble the foreign seat in my previous speculation post.

Details and Pricing on the Britax Frontier may change as more information is released. Please check again later for updates.

I just purchased the pink Britax Frontier last night (April 25, 2008) for my 4 year old daughter at http://www.babyage.com, so, they are available for purchase now. If you go to http://www.upromise.com first, then link to the babyage site, you will also obtain 3% college savings! I paid $279 w/free shipping, which is about what I paid for my Britax Marathon a few years ago. I am so excited and happy about the Frontier! The 80 lb. weight limit w/ a 5 point harness and LATCH is GREAT! THANK YOU SO MUCH BRITAX! I was very distressed and afraid for my daughters safety putting her in a regular booster, without a 5 point harness and sole reliance on a conventional seatbelt. I will be sure to post again with my experience once I receive it and it is installed.

We found this website
that IS shipping and felt better knowing that all the proceeds went to raise money to buy car seats for children in need.

Rachel says: The Hip Monkey is a store created by the Kyle David Miller Foundation, 100% of the net proceeds are used to purchase carseats for donation to families who are not able to afford higher weight harness seats. Please visit the Kyle David Miller Foundation website for more information.
