let the games begin

I picked up two beautifully illustrated Christmas books for Caleb. Obviously, it didn’t make much sense to wait until Christmas to give them to him, so I decided I would give him one 10 days out and one 5 days out. That way we could be reading them leading up to Christmas. He hasn’t unwrapped anything since his birthday, and he didn’t do much unwrapping then. He was only semi interested. Well, he has it figured out now. He thinks all presents belong to him. We went to visit with some family tonight and they have a few wrapped items sitting about. It took much convincing to help him understand that they weren’t for him. So I brought out one of the books tonight all wrapped up. He said “Is it for meeee?!?!” Needless to say, he had no problem tearing open this wrapping paper. The two books on our list are…
The Snow Angel
and
Bear Stays Up for Christmas
They are by different authors, but have the same illustrator. I adore the illustrations. We already have Bear Snores On, which is an absolutely delightful book. Definitely one of my favorite books that we have.
