just scratching the surface

99% of the pictures I post are straight out of the camera, every once in a while, I may dial up the lighting a little bit. Since I brought home some good pictures from the monster jam, I thought I’d do a little post processing. Digital darkroom if you will. This is where a photographer can develop their own personal style. I tend to like what some people might call over processing. Stark contrast, deep saturation of colors, almost larger than life colors. I played around with these pictures. In my hurried mid action photography, I noticed a lot of horizontal lines created by the seating and advertisements across from us. In some pictures if was very distracting because these lines were running diagonally, throwing off the horizon lines. So I fixed that, dialed up the color and put a dark lens vignette around the edges of the picture.  I suppose they may look better or worse, depending on your monitor calibration, but hopefully they look better!

We saw this show a few months ago in Philadelphia, Pa!
My husband thought daughter (age 3) would love this…do not know why?
So we get there just as the trucks are starting up and coming in the arena…that was it, all we saw!
Daughter screamed so loud, even our ear protection wasn’t helping.
We ended up walking around the stadium with the other parents who had children who hated it too! It was like a little club out there in the hallway…we were chatting like we were at a playgroup…not people who just payed for seats we never sat in!
Glad to hear “Someone” got to SEE the show!
