We officially started packing this morning. Shhhh. Don’t tell anyone where I got my moving boxes.  Further proof of my neuroticism (hmph, my spell check thinks that’s not a word)… Not only am I writing what is in the box, but I have drawn up a floorplan, and assigned each room a color. So as we are moving in, you don’t have to find the writing on the box and figure out the room, you just look at the color, marked on all sides of the box and take it to the correct room. Don’t. Don’t even say a word. Scott said, why do we have to write the contents also? Doesn’t it kind of defeat the purpose? No. I need to know where the silverware is a lot more than I need to know where the turkey pan is. I even have some boxes packed up with kitchen items I rarely use, so I wrote 1 2 3 4 5 on the box and circled the five to alert myself that those are low priority boxes. Oh my God. *hides in corner somewhere*

As we started packing this morning, I could tell it stressed Caleb a little. He thought that meant we were moving today. He started grabbing boxes and throwing Charley (his giraffe) and Hot Wheels in them. You see where his priorities are! I tried explaining several times that we weren’t moving today, that we had many days before we move, but it didn’t seem to be sinking in. So I took a break to make him a calendar chart. I will be drawing X’s over each day and he will get to tear off a paper link. I hope this will help him visualize how much longer we have. He seems much calmer now, so we shall see.

    wow can you move me next time?!! lol! I loved the calendar idea!!! That was so smart!!! Good mommy!! I know it might seem crazy but you (and Scott) will greatly appreciate your neuro- organization!!! Oh Caleb looks so big in these pics!!!!Esp the nekid one!!!
