Posted by: Scott in: blog, caleb isaiah, just another day in paradise, me myself and i, memories, parenting, ramblings, you might be a mom
…today was a much better day. I really do want to thank each of you for your encouragement. I know most of you have been there done that. I didn’t feel like I had unreal expectations going in. I thought I had a plan in place that would get pretty much everything in the potty. But as we all know, kids are full of surprises and sometimes have their own plan. At this point, it hard to see ever leaving this house with underwear on! hahaha But we’ll get there. Yesterday was pretty frustrating for a number of reasons, some other than PTing. I reread my entry from yesterday and laughed at how broken up it was. My train of thought was interrupted a half dozen times, and it is a grammar nightmare. (I will fix that!) I took a long hot shower last night and reevaluated as I stood there in the water. And then I went to Walmart for M&Ms
Well M&M’s and more underwear, a few ‘prizes’ and a shower curtain. We look like we plan to kill someone on our couch. But in reality, our couch serves many purposes, one being the Caleb jungle gym race track. So he spends a lot of time playing in and around the couch, which isn’t exactly easy to clean. We abandoned the diapers today and just took the plunge straight to undies. Only one accident thus far and that wasn’t until 6pm! It was mostly my fault too because I didn’t keep him on the pot long enough. I needed to fix dinner. We have gone from one extreme to the other. From not wanting to sit more than a few seconds yesterday to sitting an hour today. We have been using a half bath off of the bedroom for PTing. You should see that general area. Full of clean, but worn diapers, a blanket, a chair, cups of water, hand towels, stacks and stacks of books. We have read more in the last two days than the last two weeks combined.

I UNDERSTAND! I think you’re both doing a great job! Don’t give up when it’s tough- he’ll get it!
