Caleb came and got in bed with me about 7:30 this morning.  I think he dozed back off for a bit, but I was holding him close because I didn’t want him to roll over and fall off the bed.  I woke up to him ever so gently rubbing my cheek with his hand and brushing my hair out of my eyes.  I opened my eyes to see those big baby blues just looking at me.  “You’re the sweetest Boogaman in the world,” I said.  “I am Mom, I am.”  If and when we have another, I hope he or she is half as sweet as him.

He is sitting here in my lap examining a one dollar bill.  He looked at the back and decided that there is a flower above the eagle’s head and you ‘smewl it’.  Then he looked at George Washington.  “You see dat people?”  “Yep that’s George Washington,” I said, “Our first president.”  “Our first pwesent it?”  Then he went on to look at some of the writing.  “Dat’s an A.  Tink dat’s an A?  And dat says ‘Dear Mom.’  Yeah it says ‘Dear Mom, I wuuuuv you’ .”
