If you have toddlers and/or preschoolers at home, and you haven’t seen Word World yet, I must say, you’re missing out. Caleb adores this show!!  Which is certainly fine by me, as it has tremendous educational value for this age group. We have about 20 episodes on the DVR now. The characters are cute, the colors are bright and cheerful, it is just a lot of fun. Target is now carrying an exclusive line of Word World toys. You can check the website here to see when it comes on in your area.

PS I know this is “fluff” as Val over at Stinky John Jones calls it.  I’ll be back with some more original content in the coming days.  Just didn’t want you to think I fell off the map.  We are having unusually ‘cold’ weather for August, the high on Wednesday is only supposed to be 75!  So I have a master plan for some fun activities surrounding this unseasonably cool weather.

Apparently I like to frequent dark caves and places under rocks, as I have not seen this movie until today. If I had known what I was missing, I would been in line the day it came out in the theaters. I teared up several times, and watched it..like…well a kid on Christmas morning. Wide eyed with my mouth gaping open the majority of the time. It was incredible.  Now that I know what I’ve been missing, this will, without a doubt become a Christmas tradition.

season finale

Tonight is the night. The Shield season finale. If you can call it a season. It just started the first week of March. Gotta love FX for those infamous 3 month seasons. At this point, I don’t even know what I would consider to be a proper or meaningful conclusion. There is one more season before the show ends all together.
