I was listening to my ipod last night, waiting endlessly on Caleb to fall asleep. I’m torn on that issue. I get irritated at times when I sit there for 45 minutes, and he is still awake, yet it is a part of my day where nothing is required of me. A time to do my best thinking. A quiet time, which comes in short supply after you have children. I purchased an ipod about a month ago (and joined the 21st century), and it has put a new spin on sitting and waiting as Caleb drifts off to sleep. I listened to the entire unabridged version of The Da Vinci Code already! Excellent book by the way. Last night as I sat there skipping through songs, lost in thought, a song came on that really spoke to me. Martina McBride’s song, Blessed. I have been blessed. And I feel like I’ve found my way. I thank God for all I’ve been given at the end of every day. I have been blessed, with so much more than I deserve. To be here with the ones that love me, and love them so much it hurts. I have been blessed. Indeed.
