You never know what he’s gonna say next. Tonight, we were backing out Granny Gooch’s driveway. We were parked directly behind Auntie Nadine’s car, and they were leaving to go to church. She already had her foot on the brake, so our car was illuminated with the red brake lights in front it us. He said, “HEY! Dat carwah turn it’s wights on. Dat’s Not Vewy Nice!” Really emphasizing the beginning of each word. Gee, I have no idea where he got that phrase from! We both just cracked up! He is always telling me about cars, and knows many by their names. He has several Volkswagens, two of which have no bumpers, as they have been broken off. He says “My Boltswagon needs new bump-mers.” How can you not giggle at that? It sounds so darn cute!
I am just going nuts over Christmas. Have I mentioned that yet? It took me an hour to get to sleep again last night, as I had ideas running through my head. He is totally obsessed with making a gingerbread house. He found my kit that I purchased last year on clearance. Obsessed to the point that I think we’ll have to make a trial one. I made some from graham crackers a few years ago, so I think he and I will do that some time in the next few weeks. He is pointing out Christmas trees (on tv and at the stores) with wild excitement. We will most definitely keep all of the presents hidden until he’s asleep the night before. I can’t wait to see his face when he comes in and sees a tree with loads of presents underneath that weren’t there when he went to bed. Are you tired of hearing about this yet? Okay, well check back after Christmas!
Oh yeah, I remember one thing I wanted to add…every time he slips one, he says to the whole room, “I POOTED!!!” Men.
