another entry I forgot to title until several hours after posting

The final results of last night’s mud slinging events:

All blurry because it was almost dark when we finally made him come in for a bath. Over an hour of complete independent toddler play, which mom’s of toddlers know that this may as well be an entire day in toddler time! An entire hour with no tantrums, demands, whines, TV, toys, nothing but just good old fashioned mudbath fun. He was very ticked to be forced inside though. It cooled off quickly outside, and he had to get hosed down a bath before bed.

Today, he spent some time reading his Cars book sitting in his Cars chair at his Cars patio table with some Cars on the floor behind him (you can’t seem them very well)! His Auntie Nadine went and got him the table and chairs set for our screened in porch here at the new house. It hasn’t made it outside yet, as we are still enjoying leaning around an umbrella to watch TV! No really, he likes having his own little place to sit during the day and he loves his Cars. The movie and the object itself. He has been fascinated by anything with wheels since he got his first Hot Wheels around 8 months old!! Yes I know they say 3 and up (I secretly breathed a sigh of relief this past birthday that we made it to the “legal” age for most of his toys without any choking incidents). No I do not recommend giving Hot Wheels to your baby, but I can attest to the fact that they are pretty tough little cars to be $0.97! They are bath toys, race toys, crashing toys, jumping toys, -buried in my couch cushions with the rest of the crumbs- toys… It is rare to find him without some type of car in his hand.
